Paikea Black-Coyne, Case Manager

Paikea Black‑Coyne serves as a Case Manager at New Directions for Women and is continuing her education at Cal State Dominguez Hills, where she is completing her Master’s degree to become an LMFT. She also received her bachelor’s degree from CSUDH. With five years of experience in the treatment field and personal family experience with addiction, Paikea approaches her work with honesty, compassion, and genuine understanding.
Paikea finds joy in being a steady source of support for others and believes strongly in the power of connection and healing. When she’s not working or studying, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and caring for her four pets — all named after figures from Greek mythology, a playful nod to her nerdy love for myth and storytelling.
