Sara Simons, Care Coordinator Supervisor

Sara Simons

Sara Simons comes to New Directions for Women from a long background in the legal field. She worked as a legal secretary in the construction defect industry and in the criminal defense arena for 25 years. Sara is in recovery herself and celebrates 10 years of continuous sobriety on March 8, 2020. Sara decided to leave the legal profession after getting sober. After visiting every booth at a local job fair, she visited the New Directions for Women booth to apply for a care coordinator position. Our HR Manager instantly knew that with her skill set, she would be a perfect fit for our clinical coordinator position. Sara started her career at NDFW on the exact day of her 3rd sobriety birthday and has been with us for almost 7 years.

Over those 7 years, Sara has been involved in two CARF surveys and was especially instrumental in helping New Directions for Women acquire its ASAM certification. She works closely with the Chief Clinical Officer in developing the clinical schedule, updating our policies and procedures, proctoring quality improvement information from persons served into Vistage Research Group’s platform. Sara also orients and welcome new patients to New Directions for Women. Sara has a very positive outlook on life and is always smiling!
