New Directions for Women hosts community events to bring the Orange County recovery community together, to reduce the stigma that surrounds substance use disorder, and celebrate our alumnae, care partners, and volunteers. We are proud to host several 12-Step and self-help meetings to provide hope to community members, whether they have been through our treatment program or not. Each event listed below is open to the community, unless otherwise stated. For more information on any event, fill out our contact form with any questions!

Annual Open House
September 11, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pmFree
It’s time for our Annual Community Open House and Shower of Love event at New Directions for Women. We love hosting our community, including our neighbors, care partners, alumnae, and supporters on campus. We believe it’s important for the Orange County community at-large to learn more about recovery, addiction treatment, and specialized substance use disorder programs for women and Moms so that they can rely on New Directions for Women as a resource.
On September 11th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, join us for face painting, arts and crafts, a gallery of our patients’ work from Art Therapy sessions, and dinner! The campus will be open for tours so you can see first-hand the life-changing work that happens. There will also be a small art silent auction sponsored by community partners and alumnae. Chef Fatima will be making bite size delights for you to enjoy what our women and families get to experience every day – delicious, nutritious food for healing.
A part of our annual Open House is an opportunity for our friends to contribute art supplies for our women and children, as well as baby items. Over 24 women who entered our care last year who were pregnant or had a newborn in our care. Each Mom receiving addiction treatment received a diaper bag containing needed baby items, maternity support items, and an educational book from gifts received at last year’s event. This year our need is the same. We have registered on Amazon and Target under New Directions for Women. In addition, we are asking for art supplies to support our ladies’ recovery process. These will be used during Art Therapy, Girls Night, and creating vision boards. When you go to our registries on both Amazon and Target you will see the needed baby items and art supplies.
