Our Women’s Only Private Rehab Offers Outstanding Services
New Directions for Women is a private rehab located in Orange County in Costa Mesa, California. We have been helping women get sober at our CARF accredited facility for more than 40 years. We offer addiction treatment for women of all ages, pregnant women in any stage of pregnancy, and women with children.
We are proud of our nonprofit status, and we are a private rehab. This means we do not accept Medicare, Medicaid, or any type of state or federal government assistance. The women who come to us for addiction treatment use private insurance (most major insurance companies are in-network), pay out-of-pocket, or utilize our partial scholarship program when available.
Because we are a private rehab in Costa Mesa, we are able to offer outstanding benefits to the women who come and stay with us to get treatment for a substance use disorder. If we accepted public assistance of any kind, we would be more limited. We recognize that when women come to us, they feel hopeless and helpless. We want to offer them excellent care and help them build a firm foundation for their recovery journey.
Here are just a few of the many services we offer at our private rehab:
- Physician-supervised medical detox
- Access to excellent healthcare
- Individualized treatment plans
- Long-terms stays of up to 90 days
- Yoga, acupuncture, and mindfulness meditation
- Individual therapy with a Master’s level therapist
- Peer-group counseling with other recovering women
- Family support and therapy
- Equine therapy
- Physical exercise
- Extensive aftercare services, including sober living
- Art therapy

Your Treatment at Our Private Rehab is Most Likely Covered By Your Insurance
Many women choose not to go to a private rehab because they think they can’t afford it. They are worried that their insurance won’t cover treatment or they do not want to have to pay a large out-of-pocket expense.
At New Directions for Women, we are happy to perform a free insurance verification to see what your insurance will cover. We will let you know up front if you have any out-of-pocket expenses.
You might be surprised to learn that the Affordable Care Act allows for substance use disorder treatment coverage under private insurance. So, our services might be covered by your insurance.
If you do not have insurance – or if your insurance doesn’t cover your entire stay with us – we want you to know that New Directions for Women is an affordable treatment center. We want to make substance use disorder treatment accessible for every woman who needs it. We may be able to work out a payment plan or offer you a scholarship opportunity.
Please don’t let cost keep you from getting the help you need. Contact us about finance-related matters. We are here to help.
