Rebecca Flood appears and presents at local, national and international conferences on drug and alcohol addiction as well as annually hosts international networking events to improve the service delivery of those suffering from addiction. Addiction is a world-wide epidemic and bridging the gap between different countries, including England, Spain, Canada, and the Netherlands is a passion of hers. She has been interviewed by a number of media sources, has presented to Parliament in London and is internationally regarded as an expert on  addiction treatment. She is specifically regarded for her knowledge of gender-specific addiction treatment and services for pregnant women and women with children.

With nearly four decades of experience in the addiction field, Rebecca Flood has demonstrated expertise in program development, implementation, evaluation, clinical oversight, business development and responsible fiscal management.  She is the Executive Director and CEO of New Directions for Women, the President of the Association of Intervention Specialists and is a Board Member of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers. Flood is also an accomplished and published writer with her most recent work featured in New Directions for Women’s first publication, The Glories of Sobriety, a collection of twenty-four true accounts of triumph over addiction and life’s true glories that are found in sobriety.
