MICHAEL JACKSON’S DEATH PROVIDES A CHANCE
FOR OTHERS TO SAVE LOVED ONES FROM ADDICTION
New Directions Sponsors Free Event, CHANGE SEMINAR
With World Renowned Interventionist Brad Lamm, featured on Nancy Grace
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (July 16, 2009) – Michael Jackson’s sad death shows that chemical dependency is a not a discriminating disease. Targeting children and adults, addiction knows no bounds. The CHANGE seminar is designed to help family members and friends recognize the symptoms of addiction and help their loved one suffering from addiction to change their lifestyle before it is too late.
The seminar is being presented by world-renowned interventionist Brad Lamm (BRI-I, CAI), who is a regular commentator on CNN’s Nancy Grace and is also a consultant for Oprah’s Harpo productions. The free 70-minute educational program will feature real life stories and expert guidance to explain how change begins in the life of the addicted, and the role friends and family members can play. Attendees will walk away with the tools necessary to motivate their loved ones towards change.
“Brad’s approach explains addiction to those who are experiencing it in their families and allows them to better help their loved ones.” said Becky Flood, CEO of New Directions for Women, a 30 – bed chemical dependency treatment facility in Costa Mesa.
During the CHANGE seminar Brad will address:
- How to identify a loved one who needs help
- How to approach a loved one with chemical dependency addiction
- Comparing the philosophies of letting a loved one “bottom out” or stepping in with an early intervention
- The difference between the ARISE Method and the ambush-style Johnson Method
The CHANGE seminar is being held on on July 16 from 6:30 – 7:40 pm at the Montage Hotel 225 N. Canyon Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. For more information go to www.changesomeoneyoulove.com or call .
