Primary Therapist- Seeking a U.S. Military Veteran

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual sessions with patients on caseload.
  • Conduct Process Group and other group therapy.
  • Conduct experiential therapy groups.
  • Responsible for insurance authorizations and reviews.
  • Crucial part of implementation of a women’s veteran treatment track

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling or Psychotherapy is preferred. Master’s level practicum students can be considered.
  • Applicants with a professional California state license or intern registration are preferred. All applicants must be eligible to register or hold professional licensure.
  • One year of experience working in a clinical setting, preferably a residential setting.
  • Applicant must be a United States Military Veteran

Salary: Competitive salary offered, depending upon education and experience. A comprehensive benefit package is available following a 3 month orientation period (health, dental, vision, life, retirement plan, flexible spending account, paid time off, paid holidays).

Clinical Supervision is not provided on site, interns must obtain their own supervision.

Applicants must successfully pass an Orange County Probation Check (including informal probation), criminal background check and pre-employment health screening (urine drug screen and TB test). Applicants in recovery must have a minimum of 2 years in recovery.

Patient Care Coordinator- Continuous Recruitment

New Directions for Women is seeking caring individuals to act as Patient Care Coordinators. We are opening continuous recruitment to build a pool of qualified applicants for future openings. This is an entry level, direct care position. 12-Step knowledge is a plus. Alcohol and Drug Counseling Students, Medical Assistants, Psychiatric Tech’s, Certified Nurses Aides and people currently in recovery are encouraged to apply. This position may require extended, evening/overnight, weekend and holiday hours. $11-$14 hourly based on education and experience.

Applicants must pass all background checks including a Probation/Parole status check (includes Informal Probation), pre-employment drug screen and have a TB skin test. A driving record will also be pulled from the DMV prior to employment.

Applicants in recovery must have a minimum of 2 years continuous sobriety.

New employees must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification as well as a Class B Commercial Driver’s License within the Orientation Period to maintain employment.
