Career Opportunities with New Directions for Women

Careers at New Directions for Women, Orange County’s longest standing non-profit women’s center for the treatment of chemical dependency, are both challenging and rewarding. Patient Care Coordinator

New Directions for Women is seeking caring individuals to act as Patient Care Coordinators. This is an entry level, direct care position. 12-Step knowledge is a plus. Alcohol and Drug Counseling Students, Medical Assistants, Psychiatric Tech’s, Certified Nurses Aides and people currently in recovery are encouraged to apply. We are looking to create a pool of qualified applicants to fill open shifts (full time and part time) that may become available. There are three shifts for this position: morning, evening and overnight. This position may require extended, evening, weekend and holiday hours. $10-$14 hourly based on education and experience.

New employees must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification as well as a Class B Commercial Driver’s License within the Orientation Period to maintain employment.

Applicants must pass all background checks including a Probation/Parole status check, pre-employment drug screen and have a TB skin test. A driving record will also be pulled from the DMV prior to employment.

Intensive Sober Living House Mother

New Directions for Women is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to act as a live-in House Mother in the Intensive Sober Living Environment. Duties would include: holding weekly House Meeting including maintaining minutes; ensuring that all morning and evening chores are complete; ensuring adherence to all rules of the facility. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two years of active recovery and candidates pursuing education/certification in the field of behavioral health are preferred. The ideal candidate would show a passion and commitment to the organization; would show a high level of enthusiasm; is mature and dependable; has good boundaries and is very clean and organized.

Reference check and background check required.

Private, locked room available. Hourly compensation for hours worked.

Applicants in recovery must have a minimum of 2 years continuous sobriety.
